I am currently a PhD student in the department of computer sciences of the Université de Sherbrooke. My studies are codirected by Jean-Pierre Dussault and Hugo Larochelle.

I work in the SMART Lab, a research laboratory in machine learning. I am also part of the Optimization and simulation research group.

I graduated with both a BSc in computer sciences and a certificate in mathematics. My experience in both of these fields brought me to find a topic of interest closely related to both.

› Research interests

My interests lie in the field of machine learning, a subfield of artificial intelligence, which is the study of algorithms used to model patterns found in any measurable system. In particular, I am interested in the application of advanced mathematical optimization methods to the learning process of deep neural networks, a state of the art learning algorithm that shows potential.
